Welcome Crusaders
Welcome to the award-winning Liberty Tech Crusader Band! By joining this organization, your child will become part of a program that is devoted to excellence in music and integrity in character. As a parent, you also have an opportunity to get involved in the program in various roles to help us moving forward. It's important that both you and your student get plugged into all that we have going on. The information below will help you get up to speed as you begin this new and exciting part of your child's education.

Volunteering
The success of The Crusader Band is dependent on parent involvement. There are lots of opportunities to volunteer from fundraising, to uniform maintenance, to feeding students, and working in the pit crew. Every family is expected to participate in some degree during the year. When you help with fundraising, donations, and give your time to help maintain our uniforms and equipment you keep cost down and keep us moving forward. Look for opportunities to lend your expertise to the band program.

Financial Information
An award-winning program such as The Crusader Band is not an inexpensive endeavor.
Each year band fees are determined to help to cover the cost of operating the band and providing everything necessary to train and compete. Each student is provided with a full band uniform (hat, pants, jacket). There are also accessories that are the student's responsibility these include items such as MTX shoes, black socks, shorts to wear under uniform, etc.
It is critical that all payments be made on schedule. The band's ability to meet financial obligations depends on budgeted income.
Performances
The band performs at all home football games and all or most away games. Students will be expected to arrive at the band room approximately 1 hour before the game and are required to stay for the entire game and return to the band room as a group where we will change, meet, and be dismissed.
Students play during the first half of the game and have the 3rd quarter "off". During this time they are allowed to eat at the concession stand. They play again in the 4th quarter.
Please do not make plans to have your student leave early. We go to and leave the stadium as a group.
Parents are encouraged to attend competitions as often as possible. The excellence of the Liberty Tech Crusader Band is evident when we're on the road with parents cheering us on.
